Environment

Certified Quality

ShoreConnection is certified to the ISO 14001 standard, which is the globally recognized framework for environmental management systems. It helps us improve our environmental performance by managing and reducing our environmental impact. Complying to the standard emphasizes a risk-based approach, encouraging our organization to identify and assess environmental risks and opportunities. This includes evaluating potential environmental impacts and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

Management Driven

ShoreConnection’s environmental policy is established and integrated in the top management, ensuring available resources and promoting a culture of environmental responsibility. We monitor, measure and evaluate our environmental performance against established objectives, determined to minimize our environmental impact, all while enhancing our operational efficiency.

Sustainable Solutions

Our solutions are furthermore designed to enhance sustainability by addressing multiple factors, including the reduction of carbon emissions through minimizing unnecessary helicopter flights and weather-related delays, providing durable and low-maintenance equipment, and reducing operational downtime.

ESG 1

Social and Governance

ShoreConnection strives to uphold the social responsibilities towards our employees, suppliers, customers and communities. Our ISO 9001 certification aids us in this, along with our general commitment to exceed our own and our customers’ expectations of all our activities. We are obligated to follow the company’s Ethical Guidelines, the Norwegian Working Environment Act, as well as international laws and customs. We also evaluate our suppliers and business partners, requiring their approval before entering into an agreement.

ShoreConnection is obliged to:

  • Maintain high business conduct and be ethically conscious in our daily work to ensure SCI’s integrity.
  • Follow Norwegian laws and regulations regarding employment, company structure, ownership and financial management.
  • Fulfil relevant requirements of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and respect local laws and regulations wherever we work.

  • Identify and understand the potential impact of social and cultural factors on our work.
  • Conduct our business honourably and promote free competition with respect to suppliers.

UN's Sustainable Development Goals

ShoreConnection will take its share of the responsibility for achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Our business has a direct impact on the communities in which we work, and we also impact the global community through our activities.

ESG 2

ShoreConnection has a special focus on the following goals:

Sustainable Development Goal 3 Good health and well-being

As a company, we want to contribute to a safe working day for all our employees. We achieve this through training and routines to prevent health damage, audits of systems and control. We recognize that the psychosocial working environment is important and that mental health is a challenge in our society. Through social initiatives, involvement, employee surveys and good whistleblowing routines, we work to promote well-being and good health for our employees. Likewise, we try to uphold the highest work ethics when working in the field, ensuring respect, sustainable working conditions and safety for our partners world wide.

Sustainable Development Goal 5 Gender equality

As a company, we want to have a balance between the genders. Historically, there has been a predominance of men in the company. This is changing, and we want to continue the good work. We have women on the board and have hired more women throughout 2024 and 2025 in both administration, sales and the project department.

Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth

To eradicate poverty and fight inequality in the world, everyone must have jobs. For this to happen, we must create fair economic growth and new jobs. This means that we must include young people in the labour market and ensure a predictable and safe working life for marginalised groups as well. SCI has employees with different skills and backgrounds, and sees the importance of giving all people an opportunity to succeed in working life.

Sustainable Development Goal 9 Industry, innovation and infrastructure

As a company, we are aware of the value of digitalization. We use minimal paper in our projects, and as much commissioning as possible is done digitally to reduce travel activity and environmental impact. We use our position to influence the industry, and our solutions help make the industry safer, more efficient and profitable.

Sustainable Development Goal 10 Sustainable cities and communities

ShoreConnection contributes with jobs in the local community, and we support local organizations and activities, such as sports teams and regular events, in addition to supporting organizations and initiatives that apply for it throughout the year. Our activity entails waste and energy consumption that we are aware of and want to reduce. We sort and minimize the amount of residual waste, and we have awareness in relation to energy consumption. We collaborate and co-locate with other companies at the same address.

Sustainable Development Goal 12 Responsible consumption and production

We know that everyone, both businesses and individuals, has to do more with fewer resources. We must be good at recycling and waste minimal food. We have routines for the purchase of office and communication equipment, tools and machinery of  good quality, as well as expectations for the lifespan of the equipment, so that we do not buy more of this than necessary.
